After successfully completing your course in the UK, you may be able to apply for a Graduate Visa. This visa will allow you to stay in the UK for at least two years. What you Need to Know About Applying for a Graduate Visa

Graduate Visas are a fantastic option if you have previously been studying in the UK and would like to extend your stay now you have graduated. After your course has finished, you will be able to stay in the UK for up to two years on a Graduate Visa or three years if you have a PHD or other doctoral qualification. A Graduate Visa is not eligible for extension, however you may be able to switch to a different type of visa, for example a Skilled Worker Visa, after your Graduate Visa expires. To apply for a Graduate Visa, you must:

  • Be in the UK when you apply.

  • Have a Student Visa or Tier 4 (General) Student Visa.

  • Have studied a UK bachelor’s degree, postgraduate degree or other eligible course for a minimum period of time with your Student Visa.

  • Have successfully completed your course. This needs to have been confirmed by your education provider.
